From fintech founder to healthcare AI: I've spent a decade building products where accuracy can't be compromised.
My first company, Balance, was acquired by Paytm. I stayed on to lead platform product and engineering teams (100+), working closely with the global CTO on systems at national scale.
Today, I'm building EasySLR: AI tooling for systematic literature reviews in healthcare and pharma. The work is equal parts modeling, systems, and evaluation. We turn messy documents and ambiguous criteria into structured pipelines that can be trusted.
I trained as an economist and computer scientist at IIT Kanpur, which still shapes how I think about incentives, systems, and what's worth working on.
In 2015, I founded Balance, a first-of-its-kind consumer app in India that recommended micro-saving opportunities based on spend patterns, salary transfers, fitness goals, and favorite sports events. Balance was your everyday saving app that builds a saving habit for you. Balance was acquired by Paytm in 2018.
During my 3.5 years at Paytm, I led the Customer Service product team to automate and improve user query UX, driving down manual handling by more than 30%. I worked on the Payments Gateway to build merchant gift vouchers as a new payment instrument. Then I moved to build the Mini Apps product to help merchants leverage the Paytm platform. In my last 2 years, I worked on the UPI platform product, building new features like AutoPay, UPI Number, and UDIR.
Prior to Balance, in 2010-11, while at IIT Kanpur I also co-founded a startup Yatayat: "An Uber for auto-rickshaws" in Kanpur and Delhi. I joined Citi in a Data Science role in 2011 and then in 2013 left to join a startup called Credibase (now B2Brain) as founding team principal engineer.
